It’s Monday morning and we’re determined the week ahead will be a productive one. As inspiration we're using this quirky Bouroullec brothers video in which Ronan and Erwan put together one of their most recognisable pieces, Clouds. Designed in collaboration Kvadrat, Clouds is an innovative and colourful tile concept for the home. Attached by rubber bands, it can be made into a myriad of shapes and used in several ways – as an installation in the room or be hung from a wall or ceiling.

“We were looking for a piece that would really bring a three-dimensional geometry and would also be irregular, so the opposite of architecture, which is understood as rectangular, vertical or perpendicular,” says Ronan Bouroullec. “You don’t really know the result until you have assembled them, it's something that grows without any control.”

Clouds is available in two Kvadrat fabrics, seven colour combinations and pretty much infinite possibilities. If the video has whetted your appetite, the new Bouroullec brothers book Works is comprehensive monograph documenting the entire career to date of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, showcasing all of their furniture, lighting and interior pieces. It's in the online store now.
