Anyone for a Swiss eyeball massage?

Pipilotti Rist's psychedelic video art set to dazzle

Inspired by the birth of MTV and the supa-bright music television of the 80’s, Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist makes rich, dazzling and sensuous video art.

Her works are psychedelic, saturated with bright colour and large in scale. Rist toys with the viewer’s sense of size and perspective dwarfing them with gigantic flowers and pigs in Lobe of the Lung (2009) or inviting them to look down on a naked woman calling up to you in Selfless In The Bath of Lava (1994).

The Hayward Gallery in London is bringing all her best bits together in Eyeball Massage (September 28 – January 8), an all-enveloping show that may well leave you feeling like you've featured in the sequel to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
